Theatre Community Connection: Tommy General, News Join the cast of The Who’s Tommy and a panel of experts in the field of Childhood Trauma and Abuse for an open conversation about Tommy’s story and the real-life impact child abuse has on a person and a community. While the music for The Who’s Tommy is widely recognized, the experiences that shape its title character are less frequently discussed. City Circle Theatre Company invites you to explore a serious side of this iconic show with the show’s cast and a panel of experts. Forty years after the album’s release, we’ll explore our changing social awareness of childhood abuse and trauma. We’ll learn about resources and information available in our own community for people dealing with or recovering from abusive situations.
