We are excited to announce auditions for our upcoming summer teen show directed by Chris Okiishi and Leslie Nolte. The title of our show will be announced March 1st.
Casting is open to all students currently in grades 6 through 12 at the time of auditions.
Due to this show’s popularity, we have added a second weekend to our traditional one weekend teen slot. PLEASE NOTE THERE ARE FIVE PERFORMANCES. If you audition, you must be able to commit to this.
June 14 (Friday) at 7:30 PM

In addition to the five scheduled performances, you must be able to commit to the possibility of two added performances (based on ticket sales).

If you audition, you must be able to commit to the rehearsal process. Rehearsals run Friday – Tuesday with occasional Wednesdays. Thursdays are a guaranteed night off. Dance will be Fridays from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Saturdays from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Sundays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Weeknight rehearsals will run from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Actors will not be called for more than five rehearsals per week and not all actors will be called to all rehearsals. Directors will honor all conflicts listed on your audition sheet and will work around them when setting up the rehearsal schedule. Tech week begins with loading in to the theatre on Saturday, June 8th. Absences are not permitted during tech week. Please list all conflicts on your audition form.
Rehearsals will begin in April with a potential read through at the end of March. We will work around local high school musical schedules.

We will be casting people who have primarily acting/singing ability; we will be casting people who have primarily dancing ability and we will be casting people who have ability in both areas. Whether you are “just” an actor/singer or “just” a dancer, you must attend both auditions.
ACTING/SINGING AUDITION TIMES

DANCE AUDITION TIMES
Please list number of years of formal dance training (excluding show choir) on your audition form.
Tuesday, March 5 (Tuesday):
6:00 PM – 7:30 PM (no dance experience)
7:30 PM – 8:30 PM (1 – 3 years dance training)
8:30 PM – 9:15 PM (4 or more years dance training)
Acting/Singing Audition: Please prepare one minute of any song you enjoy singing. Bring sheet music in the key you wish to sing, and an accompanist will be provided. We may ask you to do a cold reading. No preparation is necessary for that.
Dance Audition: No need to prepare anything. Please come in clothes comfortable to move in. Wear jazz shoes or socks; no character shoes.
