Clothing Drive to Benefit DVIP

During the February 14-16, 2014 production of Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron’s play Love, Loss, and What I Wore, City Circle Acting Company of Coralville will be collecting donations of new and gently used professional clothing to benefit the clients of the Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP).

City Circle was inspired by the stories told within Love, Loss, and What I Wore to partner with DVIP.  Many of the women who come to DVIP are in need of clothing to interview for jobs, to wear at work, and to appear in court.  Having access to quality, professional clothing will help these women present a positive appearance as they rebuild their lives and gain the confidence that comes with knowing that one looks one’s best.

Donations of professional clothing and accessories will be accepted at the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts during the performances or at Catherine’s Boutique, 7 S. Dubuque Street during business hours starting February 10-22.   Items needed include:

  • Suits
  • Slacks
  • Skirts
  • Dresses
  • Blouses/nice shirts
  • Blazers/cardigans
  • Work-appropriate shoes
  • Work-appropriate jewelry and accessories
