Indiana Director Mark Baer Returns for His Passion Project

Mark Baer, who directed City Circle’s wildy successful production of Sweeney Todd last year is returning this year to direct CHESS. So why is Baer, a faculty member at Indiana University Northwest in Gary, Indiana coming all the way from Indiana to direct what he calls a passion project? Baer and his four, soon to be five, year old daughter Samantha.

Holiday Cabaret a Merry Success

Host Ryan Shellady and performer Victoria Vaughn celebrate after a successful Holiday Cabaret Performance.   “Hey now, hey now Don’t dream it’s over Hey now, hey now When the world comes in They come, they come To build a wall between us We know they won’t win”   -Don’t Dream It’s Over, Crowded House – Sung at the Holiday Cabaret by Christian Drollinger and Ensemble   Nothing gets us in the season for present wrapping and decorating the tree like the Holiday Cabaret.

Season Goal Surpassed

Over 3,000 Pounds of Food Donated Spotlight on Hunger Campaign Exceeds Season Goal With First Show   When City Circle Acing Company set a goal to raise 3,000 pounds of food for the Coralville Food Pantry, our goal was to raise that amount during the entire 2017-2018 season. Audience members surpassed the the goal during the first show of the campaign.

City Circle in collaboration with the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts and C&P Productions present the Holiday Cabaret: Late Night Edition on December 15 and 16 at 10 pm at the Coralville Center forthe Performing Arts on the set of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.   Back for another helping of froth, frivolity, sophisticated wit, and a tiny bit of naughty spice, the Holiday Cabaret:  Late Night Edition is just the escape we need for the holiday season!
